I have decided that this is a nice place to display my portfolio, so I have rounded up most of the work that I've digitally created so far. Many of these I lost when my hard drive failed so I only have what I could pull off of facebook. I have most of my more recent work, so those can be viewed at higher quality if desired. And also, I've decided to place these in chronological order of when they were made, I like to see how I've improved.
This was the first thing I created in photoshop that I was pretty proud of. Made junior year, it was for my psychology research project about a mental illness, my topic was major depression.
Senior year I was part of the photo group in my high school yearbook class, and all I did was sit on photoshop for 80 minutes every day. This was the first thing I created senior year because supposedly no one needed (or wanted) any graphics for their pages. My teacher liked it so much he made a poster out of it and hung it in the room.
Both of these were ideas I created for the yearbook cover. I was the head of graphics, or photoshop expert so to say, so I thought I was responsible for making the yearbook cover. Unfortunately the editors didn't want either of them. I created 2 or 3 more that didn't fly either.
This is my last yearbook cover idea that didn't fly. I offered the best I could produce, but they said that although it's nice, it's not what they were envisioning. After that, I didn't make anything else for that class, I spent the rest of the time learning other things about photoshop and illustrator. The only time then that they asked me for anything was to make a title page, so I just had them use this one because it's my favorite artwork that I created while in high school, and I thought it deserved to be in the yearbook.
I was approached by the editors of our 2nd yearbook (titled Pages of Changes, made as a look-back on the many years of extracurricular activities my high school has had) and they wanted me to create a title page with the theme 'through the eyes of an eagle.'
This I made for a project in my AP Literature class. It was my visual interpretation of the novel Heart of Darkness.
This was my first attempt at photo manipulation. I made this while I was still in engineering and it really helped me realize that I loved designing and creating instead of doing extensive calculus.
My one friend from Penn State needed t-shirt designs for his Thon committee team. The motto was "Love Belongs Here" so I threw this together, while I was still in engineering.
This was one project that I had in Digital Design Tools where I had to create a caricature of some famous person. I chose RDJ because he's an actor that I really like, and probably because he's iron man, and that movie had a huge impact on what I decided to go to college for. Of course I switched out of engineering, but I still wouldn't be where I am today if not for that movie.
I was really pleased with how this one turned out. This was another one of my projects for Digital Design Tools where I had to make graffiti that showcased the Digital Media program. It was all done in illustrator. I'd say it's probably my favorite among all of my artwork.
This I created for my final project in Digital Spacial Visualization. There were a few options to choose from. I chose to create the movie posters for made up titles and one of them was The Return Of Circuitry Man.
These two are the most recent works that I've created. I made them for a wallpaper contest that AE tuts+ was holding. I didn't win, but I was up against some pretty formidable opponents. Needless to say, I'm still proud of them.
